Arcade Machines
Arcade machines are more of a coin operated game machine back in the 1950's and 1990's that will show a classic type of game found in hotels, bars, game arcade stores. And all this brings people back in the day were you see people going to stores to play an arcade game, arcade games often have short levels within the character or player till the player dies in the game this makes a business on how profitable back then to play games on how you have to restart by inserting another coin, some games shows the difficulty of the game must be high enough to make the players reach a game over state and engaging or addictive to keep the players playing. These days arcade games are mostly dead in most of the parts on that it shows how technology can get better on how many multiple ways playing different types of games like mobile devices, games consoles, PC's.
In 1950's the games back then weren't as mainstream compare to 1990's as in the 50's had simple arcade games as it wasn't that complicated and shows the basics back then and people found it really entertaining and interesting which shows how gaming was really good back in the day. As it involves and progresses through time the arcade games became more advance as they had new ideas for a new game type or game genre.
As it develops around the year 1960's and 1970's it progresses and shows how gaming changed which added sports like a classic baseball game, air hockey also more categories like more creative like asteroids, space invaders. They also added some puzzle retro games which had different varieties of games. With this people found it really unique.
Then the 1980's and 1990's hit the game industry which was the most popular and more entertaining which was made to show different classic games like pacman, donkey kong, defender, centipede, galaga and many more. These classic games bose out at the time which made a lot of profit on how people visited arcade stores more often. Specially when the 1990's hit when they had G.I Joe, Mortal Kombat, X-Men, Street Fighter. Tetris. The people were amazed on how it just keeps developing and keep impressing the public by showing something new every time.
Most famous categories in the arcade games were fighting, puzzles, sport, action because back then it attracted the audience more and encouraged them more to play and get addictive like how fighting has a joystick to control the player which made it different as well with some others like puzzles, sports. This made the controls for the game unique and something new and people enjoy on how competitive they can get when they play as sometimes they release competitions.
There are different types of arcade games on how they work some are simple to use and some has different controls to play like how the simpler arcade console you have insert a coin to play and has a joystick and six buttons with that you could play fighting games with those controls and shows the basics how back then people used to play competitive vintage game like Street Fighter. With the more advances controls like the racing games, shooting games it shows how it progresses and makes you use more controls by controlling the main character or player. Like with the racing arcade game it gives you a steering wheel, clutch, gas and break controls as pedals and the main gear stick to control the speed of the car. Also as it changes the shooting games also had different ways to control a player, they would use a gun and point and shoot at the screen to shoot and uses the pedal for other advances controls.

Generations of Gaming Consoles
A video game console is more specialized by a computer system that is designed for an interactive video game play and display built, A video game console functions similar to a PC and is built with the same essential components that includes a central processing unit. CPU graphics processing unit and a random access memory RAM. For an offset cost most of the video game console manufactures use mostly older CPU versions. Modern PC's nowadays used and designed to run a high quality game and maybe used for a flawless game play experience but the video game console are mostly preferred because of the price range. There are some benefits on having a games console like how games load quicker on a game console against PC's with the exceptions of gaming rigs. Also all video games have a plug and play, most consoles allows more than one player, because on how extensive set up is required this process maybe problematic with PC's and does not work on all systems.
The console timeline comes in generations with the generations from one to eight. Generation one is with the old vintage consoles colour TV game, home pong and more. It describes all the basics about the console on how the pixels are simple with two lines and one ball, with a similar game of air hockey but really basic and back then this was one of the best consoles back in the first generations they stood out on the market as it was the only popular console back in day.
Throughout the years as time progresses new consoles gets better as the second generation comes out with the name atari with atari you can play multiple different types of classic video games on different ataries with this people didn't have to go out and play those arcade games as they stay indoors with their consoles as it's more easier to access and play videos games with the atari console.
Popular things about the third generation was the upgraded versions for ataries and these were the public's favorite home gaming as people enjoy it as a family, new games comes out better also new features about the atari, like the gun keyboard also the basic joystick. And with that comes along with generation three they had competition with nintendo entertainment system with this you had different varieties on playing a video game like nes, super mario, legend of zelda and more as people really enjoyed this as well as a home console with that they competed and debated on which consoles were better.
Four generation on atari they were going down as the new consoles came in with the atari lynx only popular for the four generation they had the upgrades on the nintendo entertainment system with that they really stood out on the market that year with the best console and games they released also nintendo really bose out with their new product line the hand held gaming device the nintendo game boy and the game boy colour with this nintendo really thought about the people on how you could play games on the go whilst travelling, they up the level on gaming-wise and became huge on the market sales.
The fifth generation changed a lot with the atari getting less popular with their only one console atari jaguar, atari had fewer games than they had with other companies getting bigger with the new nintendo 64 the market place were amazed on how good the game play on the nintendo and how different varies with the games they had new ways to play the game as it looks different on the game with the 3D look on in-game. With that generation five had a competition as well on that year as it was the only console that overtook the nintendo on the market and it became really popular for so many years with the first PlayStation the public was really amazed on how the game play and graphics was changed a lot in gaming and they really thought that was the next level gaming with the new aspects as it sets the bar so high on the market, Sony really thought about their product on how it was going to be presented as it took people attention on their new games that came out with it for example Crash Bandicoot was probably the most popular with the next level gaming.
As generation six was approaching nintendo released a different hand held gaming experience with the game boy advance and advance SP it was more of a better hand held device at that time coming in with the consoles Sony had a competition as Microsoft released and came in the market with their new console Xbox it had some popular times with it being different and new as it sold over 24 million or more it changed gaming consoles on how it becomes really different throughout time. Sony took it to next step as they released their second PlayStation it just shut down the market level with the amount that Sony made that's when gaming consoles was really changing, with that the PlayStation 2 had even better specs graphics and game play and also added some better games with the console itself at that time some people never thought about playing an arcade game or any other old games console as it sold over 155 million.
The next generation, generation seven had one of the best hand held devices console as nintendo released the nintendo ds with even better aspects on how it looks and feels when playing when it was released Sony came in as well with their PlayStation Portable (PSP) this was really good for a hand held device as well on how the hand held device was really changing and becoming more advance on how you could play them on the go. Nintendo also released one of the best family home consoles the nintendo wii how it was really good for the games that came with it, it really felt like a family console on what you could do with it on the motion sensor controller and it provided sport games, racing games and more this made a huge change on how you could play indoors for a one of the best home consoles at that time. Sony also bose out their new product line with the third PlayStation this was probably the best graphics-wise on a video game home console it shows on how it really changed the level on how the game looks with that the games evolved with the console as well on the looks overall it changed and became so much more in the future on how you can interact online and play with people around the world with PlayStation's very own network. Then Microsoft changed and upgraded their first xbox console into Xbox 360 this became the future on gaming console that year with the outstanding game play, graphics also runs smooth with online servers and with the comparison on the price Xbox 360 stood out more than PlayStation 3 with the less price difference as it sold over 83.7 million.
This years generation, generation eight had a lot of product lines and companies released many different consoles, hand held game devices. Starting with the company nintendo with their nintendo 2ds and 3ds that had so much new features for a hand held device on what you could do on that hand held and the games that you could play on it changes on what gaming is about on how it could be educational as well. Again the company Sony showed what their hand held gaming device is about with their PlayStation Vita going up to 2 Ghz Quad-core 500 plus MB ram, with their new touch screen and three-axis electronic compass the gaming on this hand held device is unreal for a hand held, it changed on how you could play games with many different ways that the games the PlayStation Vita has a decent weight with 260 grams with wi-fi, Sony has made gaming on their hand held devices more advance throughout the years. With the consoles the company nintendo has made their upgraded new version of a family console named the Wii U with that sold over 9.54 million world wide as their popular game Mario Kart 8 nintendo made the family entertainment game more different as the aspects of the game was change the way nintendo made it. They also added new specs on their console as it has tri-core, 64 kb core, amd radeon, 2gb of ram. As it isn't that much of a gaming specs, nintendo made it more of a family console that it's built that can play more of a co-op game than single player games.
The famous consoles that had so much debates Sony and Microsoft has competed for the past few years as both consoles became famous, first Sony's latest console PlayStation 4 with it, it had the specs of proper gaming console like the octa-core, amd x86-64, 8gb of ram, gigabit ethernet, built in wi-fi with that it could play games 1080p that shows the graphics in detailed and shows a true gaming experience with the PlayStation with their exclusive game (The Last Of Us) this shows the upgraded graphics and gameplay on how they changed the aspects of the game with the next gen console also they added the 4k resolution for that very clear aspect on a video, movie or image look. This gave it more of an advance look, Sony tried developing a new feature with the 4k and said that maybe games may soon be running on 4k resolution. Finally Microsoft release a new branded name for their console the Xbox One with this console it really changed the image on the timeline throughout the years on making gaming consoles with the experiencing the gaming side and the entertainment side on the new feature with the Xbox One Kinect, this gave the new voice command to the Xbox allowing you the control the console from your own voice and also some games can allow you to use the Kinect as a controller. The specs of the Xbox One are 2 quad-core modules, amd radeon, 8gb of ram, Xbox One also had the 4k resolution with the image, video and movie this also came with smartglass allowing to access windows 8. What stood out the most on the Xbox One was their multitasking gesture as with the PlayStation 4 it was only for gaming, Microsoft develop a console that made the people enjoyed the console as it was different and unique on what they did.
Gaming PC
The first pc games was back in the year 1958 this shows a simple example of classic graphic design on a video game, which was called tennis for two this simulates a game of tennis or ping pong as this was one of the first electronic games to use a graphical display this gave a different and classic feeling on a vintage type game back in the day people found this very entertaining on how it was the very first pc gaming, this shows two player game type of a simple gameplay of table tennis known as ping pong. With that it shows a simple pixel graphic of a line on each side with a ball in the middle and you just compete on who loses the ball first.
Few years past video games on pc's starts to develop and change the way you could play on the computer in 1961 they released a simple game, named spacewar this gave a very vintage feeling to the gamers and viewers with the black and white colour of the game it shows the changes from a simple ping pong game from a spacewar shooting and shows how it develops on the controls on how it includes clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, thrust, fire and hyperspeed. Initially these were controlled using the front panels test which with four switches for each player, but these proved to wear out pretty easily under a normal gameplay and the location of the switches left one player off to one side of the art display and visually disadvantage as a results.
As time progresses the most famous pc games throughout the years when they develop and improved a lot. The top games for pc are fallout new vegas as the graphics progressed and became more better. Also pc gaming changed on how you could upgrade your specs to keep playing with the latest games, as you could feel the first person shooting gaming experience as it develops by becoming a lot more on graphics and gameplay-wise. Pc gaming still upgrading as it becomes more realistic like Grand Theft Auto 5 on how the gameplay is interactive and how it looks you it shows the differences between consoles and pc's, on pc is a lot more advance compare to consoles unlike pc's you could upgrade your specs to make pc gaming more smoother and run gaming in high specs.
Modern pc is so much more different compared to console with it's better components with the playstation 4 and xbox one it was built with an amd jaguar also with 8 cores the based gpu has 8gb ram and built in hdd with also 500gb of space. Most of the information that was given isn't enough to assess a how good it is with sony and microsoft not being specific with the components but we can assume that a pc is much more better on specs wise with their graphics and fps constraints put on most games on the playstation 4 and xbox one. With gaming pc's a decent and good build would be based on gaming wise is and i5 cpu which can run most games in it's best performance that will run around to 3.0/3.5 ghz and a graphics card would be gtx 760 or above that will run most games on high setting or maybe even ultra then with that added with a 16gb of ram which most gaming pc's has nowadays. Pc gaming isn't as good through the new releases sometimes with it being issues like crashing or starting it up, it shows that most gaming pc are not as perfect that's why most of the time games are more stable on consoles with it's natural made hardware on the console unlike some pc you could be mistaken on building it.
Mobile Gaming
The first mobile gaming started of in 1994 it was introduced and pre-installed form of tetris which came on the mobile phone called the hagenuk mt-2000 this shows a classic feeling of a vintage game and the public found that really entertain considering it was on a mobile device tetris became really popular because of that on how they collaborated with mobile devices on gaming.
Couple of years later on in 1997 mobile company named nokia designed a mobile phone that had a gaming version of snake for selected phone model this first appearance was on the nokia 6110 and been embedded on 400 million devices around the world and over took tetris, making that the most played video game in the world this developed in the future in modern mobile devices like apple, samsung and others. You could download this through app store it still exist but in more of a high graphics compared to nokia and it isn't as popular as much.
The very first multi-player mobile device was experienced also on a nokia 6110, the game was a two player version of snake game which can compete who wins by getting the most points. this could be played between two nokia 6110 phones using the infrared port. In 2003, nokia launched the world's first ever dedicated gaming mobile, called the nokia n-gage. It's top selling game was a fishing sim called 'creatures of the deep' with this it became different to mobile gaming on how it was set out and a lot more different compared to any vintage old mobile gaming.
Then 2012 hit the mobile gaming and it raised the stocks with the best selling mobile gaming that year with Rovio's Angry Birds took the best selling mobile series with more than 250 million downloads it attracted kids and adults on playing the game because of how unique it was and very different to other mobile games, nowadays smartphones also dominated the mobile gaming with owners themselves spending more than 5 hours a day playing angry birds which the objective was to know down the pigs which different types of birds with different abilities. In 2011, nokia malaysia broke the record for the most people in a mobile phone game relay, by getting 2000 more people to play angry bird for 10 hours.
In 2012 mobile gaming research, 59% of people in the uk or usa who owns a mobile device either has a tablet or phone and played a game on it in the past year. It has increased 13% on 2011, each year the academy of interactive arts and science announces their interactive achievement awards and in 2012. They also included for the first time the mobile games of the year award which we think shows that the world is starting to enjoy and truly embrace mobile gaming as it is really easy to access and you could play it on the go when you are travelling.
Television Gaming
Television gaming has never been that much popular due to much contenders in the gaming industry since you had hand held gaming devices, pc's and games consoles. Television gaming has been around near 60's and 70's with the first television gaming being available on the brown box which came as a packaged with a cable tv, it was to be played in the foreground whilst the tv was shown in the background, this fell on how it was a pretty bad deal at the time. There were also other consoles developed in the late 70's to 80's such as atari, pong with that it could be attached to the tv and also used batteries.
In the late 60's and through 90's television gaming didn't take off due to the popularity of the gaming consoles, then in the early 2000's television gaming released the tv box, it was a simple built box which attached to your tv and had popular retro games on it, although this system would probably be seen as a console today. A few years later sky tv released games on their interactive tv menu, these games were usually based on popular shows and this were advertised when the tv programmes were shown playing with a press of a red button on the television remote. This was later shut down in the early 2015 and now tv gaming is pretty much no useful due to the gaming systems are released in 2015. Most of the television based games could probably be console games but instead wee used as a gimmick to sell more copies.
